JSW MG Motor India has commenced production of the MG Majestor at its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, marking the company’s entry into India’s D+ segment SUV category.
Positioned as a premium lifestyle SUV, the MG Majestor is designed to offer a strong road presence, advanced driving capability, and a feature-rich experience for customers seeking both urban comfort and off-road performance. The vehicle is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine paired with an advanced drivetrain and a sophisticated four-wheel-drive (4WD) system featuring segment-first triple differential locks for enhanced terrain handling and driving control.
According to the company, the SUV is engineered to deliver balanced performance and controlled capability across diverse driving conditions, making it suitable for both city use and challenging off-road environments.
JSW MG Motor India also claims that the MG Majestor is the largest SUV in its segment by dimensions. The vehicle features a distinctive exterior design highlighted by a Mosaic Matrix grille, Dragon-Eye daytime running lights (DRLs), and tri-beam LED headlamps.
The interior includes a range of premium features such as ventilated seats with massage functionality, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
The commencement of production represents a significant milestone for JSW MG Motor India as the company continues to expand its premium SUV portfolio within the Indian automotive market.
